I can't really read the newest comic, the formatting makes the text too small, I've tried opening it in a new tab and that didn't help eithe

Have you tried reading it on the actual JL8 Tumblr page (as in, not your dashboard timeline, but the actual Tumblr web address for JL8)? That’s inherently set to a fairly wide format that should allow for most strips to be read comfortably.
