Jobvite Infographic: New Study Outlines Job Mobility Traits

August 26, 2014 Jobvite

A few weeks ago, we shared with you our new Jobvite Mobility Study, which details the primary characteristics of both high and low mobility employees. Our new infographic is the perfect companion to this piece that visually represents the differences between these categories, making it easier than ever for recruiters to identify strong talent potential.

Job mobility is essentially a combination of two things: the probability that a worker will change jobs, and the capability that worker has to move upward and succeed. A high-mobility worker is one who is more likely to make successful job changes that offer improvement and advances, whereas a low-mobility worker is more likely to remain stuck in a job or find fewer opportunities to progress upward.

Using data from this year’s Jobvite Job Seeker Nation study, we painted a clear picture of these employees, where we could see that certain things—such as education, use of social media, and even gender and geography—have a viable impact on how they will perform over time.

We think it’s critical that today’s recruiters better understand how to spot both high and low mobility workers before they are hired, so they can be sure to find the right fit for a position. Take a look at the full Jobvite Mobility Study and our new infographic for more details on what distinguishes these groups, and if you have any questions, please leave us a comment below.
